SATELLITE ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT
01 PROFESSIONAL
In my 34 years of satellite experience, I have worked on all stages of the satellite lifecycle from concept development through on-orbit checkout and operations. I worked on manned and unmanned vehicles; one of a kind and constellations.
I was an EPS Engineer for 23 years, 19 of those years as a Lead Engineer. I invested in the industry through involvement on AIAA Technical Committees, organizing conferences, writing EPS standards and developing and teaching EPS Design Courses. I was invited to work on a National Research Council committee, to be an author on the NASA Nuclear Initiative White Paper and I was awarded the NASA Public Service Medal by GSFC for my work on the Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope.
During my career, I have had a great many opportunities to resolve conflicts between colleagues, customers and companies, something I developed a reputation for. I spent 8 years in France negotiating and coordinating the Iridium NEXT Program between French and American Companies. Recognizing the challenges of working on international teams, early in the program I designed and implemented a cultural training program for the American engineers.
